Business & Online Communication
For my business website research I chose Toyota. Mainly because I love Toyota and the vehicles that it manufactures and no I don't even have a Toyota, but a girl can dream. This company is known worldwide for their vehicles. One important key to maintaining it's worldwide recognition is making sure to have astounding online communication and keep up with social media platforms.
On Toyota's website, they first show at the top of their website all the new vehicles for 2024 in what's basically a slide show. In the middle of their page, they provide the user with shopping tools like the ability to build their Toyota or find a Toyota nearby. At the bottom of the page, Toyota provides a few separate links, one for featured stories from new and existing Toyota owners and users and their experience with Toyota, another that explains the vehicles and their up to date technology, and lastly, a link showing the latest offers and services.
The company is very effective in it's online communication by showing on their website all the latest models and technologies that they offer, to allowing the user to create and customize exactly what they want in a Toyota vehicle. Online viewers can also locate their dream vehicle with the tools on the Toyota website without the potential buyer having to go to every local Toyota dealership to find what it is they're looking for. In today's society, most buyers are going to shop online or look online before going to a dealership. Some, like myself, prefer to look online so they don't have to go to a dealership. With the tools that Toyota provides, a potential buyer doesn't have to leave their desk to find exactly what it is they are looking for.
Toyota uses social media platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok to get their brand out there as well. One thing I noticed on the Toyota Tik Tok and Instagram pages are that they show the ins and outs of vehicles, their durability, ruggedness, technology, everything, without having to go see one in person. Toyota has really tapped into media access to get their users educated and informed and also persuade them on why Toyota is the best brand of vehicle out their. Toyota has shown online what their identity is. It's off-road, rugged, durable, and also family oriented. One thing that Toyota has also made known is their partnership with the NFL, which can really boost sales especially with the Super Bowl coming up.
